Michael Huey

Investigator and Consulting Support Administrator, TNG; Resolution Officer, FAIR Center

Michael Huey is an Investigator and Consulting Support Administrator at TNG, with over 20 years of experience in law enforcement, serving as a coordinator and analyst.  

Huey supports Title IX and conduct-related investigations for TNG clients. With a background in employment history and records analysis, he offers an analytical perspective to investigative casework. Additionally, he provides essential administrative and project management support to the consulting team. 

Throughout his career, Huey has specialized in forensics, traffic operations, investigations, and prosecution units. He has worked closely with agencies such as the county crime lab and the district attorney’s office, where he managed an innovative pilot program leveraging advanced DNA technology across local, state, and national databases to solve crimes. 

After transitioning from law enforcement, Huey shifted his expertise to pre-employment background investigations for public agencies. These in-depth investigations include conducting interviews, verifying employment history, checking residential records, and reviewing personal references to ensure a thorough vetting process. His work complies with the State of California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST), mitigating liability and maintaining regulatory standards for hiring agencies. 

Huey takes a methodical, detail-oriented approach to his work. He ensures accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across operational systems. 

He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, is a licensed Private Investigator in California, has a certification in Background Investigations from POST, and is a member of the California Background Investigators Association. 

Huey lives in California with his wife and two daughters and is an active member of his daughter’s high school sports board.
