Investigator, TNG
“If it is not right, do not do it. If it is not true, do not say it.” Marcus Aurelius

Paola Soler is an investigator at TNG whose background in law and investigative practice, along with her training in trauma-informed interviewing, shapes her approach to Title IX investigations.

Before joining TNG, Soler served as a Staff Attorney at the Children’s Law Center of Central North Carolina, where she conducted neutral and thorough investigations for the court in cases involving allegations of domestic violence and complex custodial matters. Soler’s work at the Children’s Law Center of Central North Carolina also included outreach and collaboration with judges, court personnel, and legal professionals to provide education about the organization’s services and strengthen referrals. She also worked with community organizations to raise awareness of domestic violence and complex family issues.

Soler earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola Marymount University after earning a master’s degree in anthropology and a bachelor’s degree in sociology from California State University, Long Beach. Her social science education informs her understanding of people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.

Fluent in Spanish, Soler has worked with Spanish-speaking clients throughout her legal career, communicating directly with clients in their preferred language and helping them navigate complex legal processes. She recently served as a panelist at Wake Forest University for Language in Practice: Communicating with Spanish-Speaking Clients and Navigating Courtroom Interpretation, where she discussed considerations for communicating with Spanish-speaking clients and navigating the legal field.

Originally from Los Angeles, Soler has lived in North Carolina for the past six years with her husband and their Australian Shepherd, Kenji.
