Ashley Thibodeaux, J.D.

Investigator, TNG

Ashley Thibodeaux, J.D., brings more than a decade of experience in Title IX, civil rights, and student conduct within higher education. At TNG, she serves as an Investigator, conducting external Title IX and civil rights investigations involving sexual misconduct, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other complex matters impacting educational communities. Her investigative approach is grounded in neutrality, thoughtful communication, and a commitment to fair and equitable processes that support informed institutional decision-making.

Before joining TNG, Ashley spent eight years at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), where she served as Institutional Title IX Coordinator, Executive Director of Equal Employment Opportunity, and Non-Academic Student Conduct and Discipline Officer within the Department of Internal Investigations. In those roles, she managed civil rights complaints and conducted investigations involving students and employees, while overseeing matters related to Title IX and student conduct. She also worked to strengthen institutional response efforts through prevention and education initiatives, delivering more than 100 virtual and in-person trainings on Equal Employment Opportunity and higher education laws, including Title IX, and building partnerships to expand supportive resources available throughout the grievance process.

Ashley is a proud girl mom of two, who earned her Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University and her Juris Doctor from Thurgood Marshall School of Law. In her free time, she enjoys reading, meditating, spending time with family, and refuses to turn down some good old chips and queso!
