“Fight for things you care about but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.” Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Natasha Begin is Director of Content Development at TNG, bringing more than 15 years of experience to her role. She supports TNG, ATIXA, and NABITA by designing curricula, facilitating trainings, and developing practitioner resources that enhance knowledge, skills, and effectiveness. Her work addresses critical challenges in K-12 and higher education, including student mental health, student conduct, school safety, Title IX, behavioral intervention, threat assessment, bias response, case management, and civil rights resolution.
Drawing on her extensive practitioner experience, Begin creates practical, actionable training programs that support prevention efforts and foster positive cultural change. Some of her key contributions include developing K-12 and higher education certification courses and e-Trainings to promote compliance with Title IX, Title VI, and best practices in behavioral intervention. She is especially focused on empowering leaders in high-demand K-12 environments, helping them establish consistent systems, streamline operations, and equip educators to provide well-supported learning experiences.
Prior to joining TNG, Begin served as the Associate Dean and Chief Title IX Officer at Bellarmine University, where she led efforts in Title IX compliance, Clery reporting, student conduct, case management, bias response, international program compliance, and co-chaired the Behavioral Intervention Team. At Bellarmine, she also established a student food pantry and an emergency fund to address basic student needs, initiatives that continue to support the campus community today. Her background also includes residence life and student support roles at Lewis & Clark College and Transylvania University. Begin also served on the Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA) Region V Board, both as the Small Colleges and Universities Representative and as the Foundation Ambassador for NASPA Gives.
Begin is an experienced consultant who has served as the Principal Investigator for the Department of Justice’s Grants to Support Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, and Stalking Prevention and Response. Additionally, she co-authored the article “Digging into Difficult Topics: Cultivating Community in the Classroom,” featured in the Faculty Development Journal.
Her work integrates legal compliance with empathetic, equity-driven, and human-centric practices. When training, she empowers practitioners with the tools to operationalize processes, confidently manage cases, and ask the right questions. Guided by values of strengths-based development and systems thinking, she emphasizes community, advocacy, and the unique contributions of individuals as essential elements of success.
She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education and Social Change at Bellarmine University. She holds an M.Ed. in K-12 School Counseling from Lewis and Clark College and a B.A. in Sociology from Saint Anselm College.
Certified in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) for suicide prevention, and Advanced Sexual Misconduct from the Association of Student Conduct Administration (ASCA)’s Gehring Academy, she serves as a vital resource in supporting individuals at risk.
A proud veteran of the Oregon Army National Guard, Begin lives in Louisville, Kentucky, with her family.
